Notes From The Awareness: 137

Better late than regretful.

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. We tend to believe in finite windows of opportunity, that once a period of time has passed, we’ve lost our chance. When this occurs we often mourn the lost possibility and blame ourselves. We beat ourselves up for missing out. We can be so caught up in regret and remorse that we fail to see a similar or even better opportunity as it arises. Nothing is final except death, and even that is only from our earthly perspective. In general, creation believes in second (and third and fourth, etc) chances.

Today’s message is reminder to review my catalog of regrets and identify opportunities for second chances. I can still try making these missed possibilities work. I may succeed or I may fail, but I will have tried and self-reproach will no longer apply. Tomorrow’s new moon is an excellent time to set things in motion. Sometimes late-ripening fruit is the sweetest.

How about you? What forgotten missed opportunity would you wish to resurrect?
