We limit our ability to create.
We all have things we want to see happen. And we also can cite reasons why they won’t happen. We see barriers to our dreams. Inevitably, this perception of roadblocks may itself be the biggest obstacle.
When faced with a proposition, we may think of all the things that could go wrong. Less frequently, we may consider all the things that could work out well. We can be inclined to pick things apart rather than building them up.
When we naysay before something has taken form, we lose our confidence in it and increase the likelihood of failure. We kill the potential before it has a chance to be born.
Today’s message reminds me to look for positive potential in situations. When I anticipate success, I’m more likely to find it.
