Notes From The Furlough: Day 27

How you do something is a reflection of your inner state.

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. During my corona virus pause, I have plenty of free time on my hands. I’ve had both a mental and written to-do list and have checked off items as I finish them. I’m finding it interesting to note which items I accomplished quickly and which ones seem to remain undone. The items accomplished early, for the most part, felt rewarding both during the task and after completion. I was happy, excited, thankful around the process. There is a tangible result that is easy to appreciate.

The deferred items seem to incorporate some resistance on my part—the task feels too big, too complicated, beyond my scope, or may generate mixed emotions. It’s clear to me, via today’s message, that the key to accomplishing my postponed tasks is understanding the emotions leading me to balk. When I’ve cleared those feelings, it will be easier to generate the positive energy I need to move forward, so I can complete these items and feel good about it.

How about you? How do your emotions and mindset reflect in what you do or don’t accomplish?
