Notes From The Awareness: 159

Not making a decision is making a decision.

Please discuss. How does this play out in life?

I’ll start us out. Sometimes we’re proactive in making choices. We have definite preferences, have made a clear decision, and are ready to take action to help ourselves reach a specific outcome. We know what we want and have a plan on how to get there. We’re decided and all in.

Other times we know what we want, but don’t know hot to achieve it. We may take steps to try to figure out a plan—research, seeking expert advice, visualizing, etc—or we may simply do nothing, hoping the way will become clear. Either way, we’re partially decided. If we’re working on a strategy, we’re still in motion, if slower; it we’re not taking action, we’re paused waiting for further developments.

In other circumstances, we may know we want something other than what is, but may be totally unclear about what we might wish the alternative to be. We’re in limbo without an exit strategy. We simply endure or make do with how things are.

When we don’t make a decision at all, we’re telling creation that we’re all right with whatever we get, we have no preference. This is okay when that is truly how we feel. We will want to make sure our acceptance level matches our indecision.

When we have an end in mind but haven’t yet mapped out steps to get there, we’re signalling the quantum field that the what is more important than the how; we’re willing to accept any route provided. This also is okay, if our feelings are aligned with that message.

Today’s message reminds me to be clear with myself and creation in what I signal. Doing nothing is sometimes the very right default, particularly when the situation is or I am unclear, but I will want to be aware what that communicates. I must match my acceptance with my inaction.

How about you? When are you decisive and when do you wait?
