NOTES FROM THE AWARENESS: 1282

You are the authority.

We’re trained to respect experts. After all, they’re highly educated and/or experienced. They should know a thing or two.

And sometimes, we do need help or information. An expert can be quite useful in assisting us to solve problems.

We do need to, however, also respect our own judgement, feelings, and intuition. No one knows us better than we do. And we are the ones, primarily, who will need to live with the consequences of our decisions.

Ultimately, we own complete responsibility for our own lives. Even though we might feel like we wish to do so, we can’t abdicate that responsibility to someone else.

Developing trust and respect for our own feelings, knowledge, and opinions is key part of owning that responsibility. When we view ourselves as fully capable of making good decisions, we’ll feel more comfortable doing so.

Today’s message invites me to increase my confidence level in my decision-making capabilities. I’ve made it through life so far relatively sane (at least in my opinion), healthy, and well. That’s not likely to change.

Please reflect and share. Do you trust your own personal authority?
