Lasting power only arises from love.

I’ll start us out. Power and its appropriate exercise is much on our minds of late. We have been watching, rapt, as folks of differing opinions attempt to exercise power over each other. It’s sad; it’s ugly and disheartening. It feels as if this moment in time was inescapable. It’s also challenging to visualize how we might move forward together in a sane and good way.
In the face of this crisis, it’s important to remember that love always prevails. Hate and distrust may seem to temporarily hold sway, but in the long run love will hold strong. It’s how we’re spiritually wired, to love and be loved, to be connected to all that is through love. We may lose sight of this divine truth, but love is always there, patiently waiting for us to remember.
Today’s message reminds me of the inevitability of love. If love seems less than apparent in the world around me, I can jump start its recognition by sprinkling love on and around me in all my interactions. Love is the only power!
